CAMPaM Module III

In Module III a chaplain / CPE student will focus on integrating the experience of Complementary Alternative Methods of Healing in the Mystery of Pastoral Ministry. Module III explores some of the most commonly practiced and highly beneficial CAM modalities from a pastoral care perspective. This module presents these modalities from a Christian theological perspective, making them readily accessible to our cultural setting.

As this course takes into consideration the assessment, intervention, theological reflection and care planning skills a chaplain has developed through clinical pastoral education, this third stage of study will offer one a rich opportunity to grow as a pastoral complementary professional. The hands on training in spiritual healing techniques provided in this session will also give a person time and resources to integrate one's spiritual and natural gifts. Some of the modalities learned in this course can be beneficial in private sessions with staff, patients, self, family or friends.

Objective:
To integrate the experience of complementary alternative methods of healing and apply the spiritual healing methods, modalities and techniques that facilitate faster healing in the body and mind of a patient/client.

Outcome:

Knowledge and skills in several spiritual healing methods and complementary healing modalities. Personal development into a resource for healing and knowledge among healthcare professionals.
